Planning

Motocrossers have a million and one (or more) things to look after when preparing for a race weekend. Before the gear is chosen, tires selected and travel plans made, the first consideration is ... Ma Nature!

I, personally, have a tough time believing in leprechauns and long range weather predictions, but some people live and die by them. We will link you to both Environment Canada and the Weather Network and their current conditions and forecasts for the racetrack area.

I would rather look at conditions as they exist within the last 10 minutes and since precipitation is usually the problem, I think there's nothing like the federal government's Doppler radar. Three radar sites cover the entire area in which we race. (I often compare the overlap from all three) When you click the arrow to put the image in motion, you will be looking at a precipitation map that is current within the last 10 minutes and the motion represents the last hour. This is amazing on race day!

Evemtually, we'll attempt to give you local accomodations and we'll work on maps to the tracks as well. This page will be added to regularly for quite some time yet.

Let's start with this...
